The LSCBs have a statutory responsibility to provide multi-agency safeguarding training and the two local boards (for Bournemouth & Poole and Dorset) agreed a collaborative approach with effect from April 2016.
Training is centrally coordinated and bookable via one on-line booking system which has recently changed to a system called NEXUS, through which you can find information about multi-agency safeguarding children (level 2/3) training opportunities which can be accessed by everyone working with children and young people in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.

Whether you come from a small nursery or childminding setting to a large organisation there will be training relevant to your needs. We encourage a mix of statutory, voluntary and independent workers on each course to enable participants to gain an understanding of safeguarding in other services and to form networks for future working. Multi-agency training enables staff to work effectively both within their own agency and across organisational boundaries.
Those volunteers or staff working for small charities or community organisations can request a FREE place on some courses; contact the Training team at: firstname.lastname@example.org
